Dura-Sport Leisure Care were appointed by Heath Mount School in Hertfordshire to carry out a Rejuvenation service to their sand-dressed synthetic grass pitch.
The pitch, which was installed by Dura-Sport in 2006, was experiencing problems with drainage and holding water. Silt and contamination was present both on the playing area and within the sand infill.
The patented Rejuvenation process was recommended as this lifts and removes the contaminated infill and material, replacing it with brand new, fresh sand. This process also decompacts and 'opens up' the carpet to make it soften underfoot and restores the playing and draining characteristics of the pitch.
The Rejuvenation process assists in adding life to the synthetic grass surface and helps to make the pitch safer and more usable during the winter months.
"Our pitch was holding water, which was lifting dirt to the surface and making it an unstable surface to play on in wet weather. Following Leisure Care's visit, we have had a lot of rain but the pitch is now draining much better. It is now much safer to play on in the wet and we are very pleased with the service provided.
