Routine Maintenance for Artificial Pitches

Your artificial grass pitch requires structured, ongoing maintenance in order to retain performance levels and appearance, minimise health and safety risks and optimise its life span. 

Much of the routine maintenance programme can be carried out by your in-house team. However, it must be performed regularly and thoroughly in order to be effective. Successful routine maintenance reduces the likelihood of the more costly restorative treatments being required later on. 

As a guide, we recommend the following:

Daily
• General inspection of the pitch including seams (after play)
• Debris (litter / leaf) removal

Weekly
• General inspection including seams & general pitch condition
• Drag brushing / drag matting 

Monthly
• Specialist power sweeping *
• Specialist decompaction service *

Annually
• Safety Inspection Report *
• Seasonal Deep Clean *

As required
• Vegetation treatments *
• Silt removal *
• Infill / loose fill top-up & removal *
• Line marking *
• Rejuvenation *
• Repairs/Remedial Work *
• Resurfacing *
