Dura-Sport were approached to provide advice to Shenfield Cricket Club regarding the design and construction of a new practice facility to replace their existing structure.
After discussions regarding performance, playability and maintenance a design was agreed and quotation provided accordingly.
Work included the removal of several inches of concrete, as well as all existing playing surfaces, cage structure and netting from site, before setting levels and defining the new facility measuring 32.00m x 8.00m to replace it.
The facility design features 2no. 32.00m long practice pitches incorporating The ECB Approved DSi-pro cricket system, surfaced with DSi-weave, the strongest and most durable cricket surface available in the industry.
DS Evograss natural looking synthetic material was then installed alongside and in between the pitches in order to provide a totally synthetic footprint, and a twin lane 18.30m long ECB compliant cage and netting system was also installed as part of the scheme.
