Non-Turf Cricket Pitch Resurfacing

King Henry VIII School

Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, Wales

Whilst refurbishing and resurfacing the full sized synthetic grass football pitch at King Henry VIII in Abergavenny, Dura-Sport were asked to provide a report and recommendations for the school’s existing worn artificial cricket pitch.

After consultation and discussing budget, the existing synthetic cricket surfacing and rubber tiles were lifted and removed from site. The pitch dimensions and aggregate base were then extended to an ECB recommended size of 30 x 2.74 metres and refurbished and upgraded accordingly.

A new full length performance underlay and synthetic cricket surfacing was then installed under tension and marked out as per the rules of the game.
