Dura-Sport were approached to provide advice to MHCC regarding a simple refurbishment of their existing four bay practice facility, built by Dura-Sport in 2000.
Following discussions with the club it became apparent that they were receptive to an extensive upgrade of their facility and such plans were also, importantly, within budget.
The existing design footprint was completely ripped out and removed and four practice pitches were constructed to replace the existing batting and bowling configuration. The pitches incorporate our latest ECB Approved cricket system – DSi-pro Vision, in order to replicate the visual appearance of a well prepared grass wicket.
Each system was surfaced with DSi-weave straw coloured superior wilton woven playing surface, confirmed as the strongest and most durable cricket material available in the industry bar none. Evograss was then installed to replicate the visual appearance of natural grass surrounds between and alongside each pitch.
A heavy duty cage structure was installed to meet ECB recommended dimensions, complete with a heavy duty upgraded net. User control barriers were then installed across the front of the facility to prevent any unauthorised use and promote lane discipline.
All work was completed on time and within budget with no additional costs.
