Dura-Sport were asked to provide help and advice to Enfield Cricket Club regarding provision of new practice facilities at their ground in Lancashire.
Discussions regarding performance, lifespan, maintenance and budget allowed both parties to agree on a suitable design and specification for a new build twin bay practice facility. The club opted for The ECB Approved DSi-pro Vision cricket pitch system as installed at Lancashire CCC. The system incorporates our 2nd generation beige coloured DSi-weave cricket carpet, designed to replicate both the performance and visual appearance of a well prepared natural turf wicket. DS Evograss, our natural looking synthetic grass product, was installed in between each pitch and within the run up area, again to replicate match day conditions.
A heavy duty twin bay cage structure was also erected and fitted with DS HD dark green heavy duty knotted netting. For added security and to prevent unauthorised use, the facility was enclosed with a heavy duty twin wire perimeter fence, complete with a lockable DDA compliant access gate and sight screen behind the bowlers arm.
The project was completed within the clubs budget and requested timescales for the beginning of the 2019 cricket season.
