Following the success of previous projects carried out for Warwickshire County Cricket Club, Dura-Sport were approached once again to construct a new four lane non-turf cricket practice facility on The Edgbaston Foundation Ground.
Based on Dura-Sport’s four lane practice facility specification at Emirates Old Trafford for Lancashire CCC, the facility design includes several new enhancements for 2021 and incorporates The ECB Approved DSi-pro Vision non-turf cricket system. The system is surfaced with our unique loam coloured DSi-weave superior wilton woven cricket carpet which, when combined with all other components, offers the closest non-turf system in the industry in terms of look, feel and performance to that of a well prepared natural turf wicket.
The pitches are complimented by DS Evograss, our tri-coloured natural looking synthetic grass carpet, installed in between and alongside each pitch to define them, as well as in the extended run up area, forming a 40.00m long facility.
A heavy duty galvanised cage structure was erected in order to fully enclose the facility, complete with a lockable access gate to control use.
Dura-Sport’s enhanced and upgraded DS HD netting system was then fitted to the cage as well as requested accessories including batting curtains.
The facility has been completed in time for Warwickshire’s Professional cricketers to practice in during this seasons County Championship.
“Dura-Sport have done an outstanding job on the four lane net bays. The guys were very professional and took great pride in their workmanship".
