South Wales
Dura-Sport were approached to provide advice and a quotation for the replacement of the existing twin bay facility as well as additional security features within the ground, at Croesyceiliog Cricket Club in South Wales.
Following discussions and a site investigation a design and specification was produced to suit the clubs requirements.
Scope of works included dismantling the existing cage structure, ripping up the existing surfacing and concrete bases and removing all from the area.
2no. ECB Approved DSi-pro Vision practice pitches measuring 26.00m x 2.74m were constructed from the back to the front of the facility, surfaced with beige coloured DSi-weave to replicate the visual appearance of a natural wicket. DS Evograss natural looking synthetic grass surrounds were then laid in between and alongside the pitches.
The heavy duty cage was then erected and fitted with our new DS HD knotted netting onto a tensioned line wire system.
A 50m length of heavy duty fencing was erected from the hedgerow, along the front of the facility and up to the groundsman sheds. Access gates in front of the facility allow for extended run ups and further access gates allow for the storage of equipment such as covers and sightscreens. The project was completed on time and the design met the clubs budget and requirements.
