Dura-Sport were approached to provide advice to Bomere Heath Cricket Club regarding construction of a new practice facility.
A series of designs were discussed before a final specification was agreed to suit performance, lifespan, maintenance and budget.
The design footprint measured 32.00m x 8.00m and the area was stripped and excavated to exceed ECB levels and tolerances.
The facility design features 2no. 32.00m long practice pitches incorporating The ECB Approved DSi-pro cricket system, surfaced with DSi-weave, confirmed in 2015 tests as the strongest and most durable cricket surface available in the industry. DS Evograss synthetic surround material was installed alongside and in between each pitch in order to provide a totally synthetic low maintenance design footprint. A heavy duty cage structure was constructed to fully enclose the facility, including a lockable DDA compliant access gate.
The cage was fitted with our new DS HD 4mm thick dark green knotted netting to the wings, intermediates and full roof, with either end of the facility clad with white netting to provide built in sight screens.
