As part of our ongoing support of grass roots and female sport, Dura-Sport are delighted to sponsor the Leicestershire Junior Basketball All Girls Tournament, which took place at Orchard Mead Academy in Leicester.
The aim of the tournament is to celebrate girls basketball and encourage participation in the sport. All referees and table officials were also female Sports Leaders, making it a true ‘all girls’ event!.
The tournament was a great success with all of the girls playing well and having lots of fun!. Hope Hamilton Primary School's Year 6 girls were crowned tournament champions and presented with the new trophy, which the school will keep for the year.
The next tournament, which Dura-Sport are also pleased to sponsor, is the Leicestershire Junior Basketball Primary Cup, a mixed event which will be taking place at Orchard Mead Academy on 14th March.
