Dura-Sport were employed to resurface two areas at Saint Chads Gardens at the King George V Playing Fields in Oldham.
Repairs were carried out to the existing wet pour rubber surfacing including filling the gaps around the perimeter that were posing a hazzard. The wet pour rubber would then act as a shock absorbing base for the new artificial grass surfacing.
100m² of Dura-Sport's of Impact Play Carpet was then over-laid directly on to the wet pour rubber to create a safe and hard wearing surface beneath the play equipment.
"Dura-sport recently carried out a project at Saint Chad's Gardens at the King George V Playing Fields, Uppermill in Saddleworth, Oldham for Oldham Council. They installed sand filled carpet over old wet pour safer surfacing in the play area, they carried out the work on time & to a high standard. Due to the high usage of this play area it was imperative to avoid disruption and this was achieved".
