Dura-Sport were approached to provide options and advice to Sevenoaks Vine Cricket Club regarding the refurbishment of their practice facility at their Development Ground in Otford.
The existing batting and bowling end configuration included natural grass surrounds and subsequently the area was difficult to maintain. Work included removal of the existing synthetic materials and the new facility was then defined around the existing 18.30m x 3.66m cage structure to measure 26.00m x 4.00m. The facility was back filled with performance aggregate and a bat tap grid was incorporated within the foundation.
The entire area was then surfaced with DS Cricket Carpet so that no natural grass appeared within the area, thus reducing maintenance. New black knotless netting and an anti-vermin skirt was attached to the existing cage which remained in situ.
