Dura-Sport were approached to provide advice to Ross on Wye Cricket Club regarding construction of a new build practice facility to replace their existing twin bay.
Following a site inspection and condition report, it was decided that the entire existing facility would be stripped out and removed from site.
Due to the club being located close to the river and with the potential of flooding, the next decision was to construct and engineer a new sub base in order raise the facility by almost a metre, meaning that the new facility would finish flush level with the outfield rather than its existing location within banking.
The new design is a twin bay practice facility with two 30 metre long practice pitches incorporating the ECB Approved DSi-pro Cricket System, surfaced with i-weave superior wilton woven cricket playing surfaces, a 60’ heavy duty cage and netting structure, with full evograss material installed around and in between the pitches in order to provide a totally synthetic design footprint.
The facility also included DS gates incorporating the cricket clubs logo fitted to the cage to prevent unauthorised use.
