Dura-Sport were approached to provide surfacing for a new purpose built twin bay indoor cricket centre in The West Midlands.

With the flooring, lighting and netting already in situ, Dura-Sport specified and installed The DSi-weave Vision carpet within each lane. Running at 2.74m width and straw in colour, the surface replicates the visual appearance of a well prepared natural turf pitch.

The brighter colour of the carpet also helps batters to pick the ball out easier during practice, particularly under the artificial light of an indoor centre. The surface and ball bounce is regulated with DSi-layer dual layered shock pad underlay, again ran at 2.74m widths to avoid any lips or ridges within the pitches.

Playing surfaces reclaimed and transported from a previous centre by the client were then installed in between and alongside each pitch to complete the project.
