Dura-Sport were appointed to refurbish a MUGA at Nottingham Girls School in Nottingham.
Tree roots were extracted and removed from the area, followed by the removal of the existing sports fencing.
Needle punched synthetic grass was then laid over the existing polymeric surface and lines were cut in for seven tennis courts, seven netball pitches, a hockey match pitch and two cross-court hockey practice pitches. Sports equipment and a new twin wire fence with sports rebound was supplied and installed and anti-slip coating was applied to the access steps.
In addition, Dura-Sport manufactured and installed a series of viewing benches and created a neat bank area, which was previously overgrown with shrubs and bushes, using evograss artificial grass for landscaping.
Both the pitch itself and the surrounding area have been completely transformed.
"The pitch refurbishment project has been very successful and we delighted with the new facility. Dura-Sport have been excellent to work with from the planning and design stage through to completion. We have found Dura-Sport to be very client focussed, with excellent communication through the project, an eye to detail and good site management. We hope that there will be an opportunity in the future to work with them again."
