Dura-Sport were invited to tender for a cricket practice facility by Higher Kinnerton Community Council. Following discussions with the client to agree on the most suitable facility for their requirements, Dura-Sport designed and constructed a non-turf cricket pitch which incorporates the ECB Approved DSi-pro Cricket System, surfaced with i-weave throughout the full width and full length of the facility, including a mowing margin outside of the full length heavy duty cage and netting structure.
This configuration provides a consistent performance throughout the facility and significantly reduces maintenance. The chosen location required a great deal of groundworks to enable the facility to be constructed within ECB tolerances in terms of levels. This was achieved with minimal disruption and the surrounding area was remodelled and re-graded accordingly, providing the village and local cricket team with a new modern practice facility.

Whilst we have an established cricket club we don't have a cricket field so this single lane facility allows both the cricket club and community the chance to practice cricket on our local recreation ground. We examined a number of synthetic surface systems and found Dura-Sport's i-weave superior wilton woven playing surface to be the best for our needs. The installation took around five days and was extremely well organised and professional."
