Dura-Sport were approached by the School to provide a permanent cricket surface to replace the existing non-fix option. After discussing a range of surfaces with the client our DSi-turf premium indoor cricket product was specified for the project.
DSi-turf in green was utilised for the practice pitches and our terracotta product was used to cover the remaining floor, including all recessed areas.The project was made slightly more challenging as the facility was on the first floor of the sports hall, meaning that all materials had to be lifted upstairs to the area.
The work included professionally cleaning the floor to remove any debris before the new full length surfaces were then rolled out and secured in a suitable manner and marked out as per rules of the game. A consistent ball bounce and the same feel under foot was provided as the same surface was used throughout the hall.
"Dura-Sport completed a professional job on our two lane cricket balcony at Merchant Taylors' School in October. The craftsmanship shown by the installers over a one and a half day period was fantastic, nothing was too much of an ask for them and they even carried out our old mats and gave the area its first proper clean in a while! I am really happy with the way the pitch has and continues to play now that it has bedded in. Our young bowlers and batsmen feel like the surface plays more consistently than what we had before and we would thoroughly recommend the product to others."
