Whetstone, Leicester
Dura-Sport were delighted to have been appointed by the Leicestershire and Rutland County FA to resurface their 3G pitch at Holmes Park in Whetstone, Leicester.
Holmes Park is home to the Leicestershire & Rutland County FA and the ground hosts many of the county's key fixtures with clubs from across the region, including the annual finalists of the County Cup, benefiting from the ground's fantastic facilities.
In 2017 Leicester City Football Club, in close coordination with the Leicestershire & Rutland CFA, undertook an extensive redevelopment programme at Holmes Park to bring the venue in line with Premier League and UEFA regulations. The ground is now the official home venue of Leicester City’s Under-23s Development Squad who have had crowds of over 1,000 attending their matches.
Dura-Sport's project involved the removal and disposal of the existing artificial grass and carrying out specialist surface installation works, replacing the surface with new 3G synthetic grass and line markings.
