Faringdon, Oxfordshire
Dura-Sport have completed the construction of a twin bay cricket facility in Faringdon and District Cricket Club in Oxfordshire.
The new twin lane non-turf cricket practice facility incorporates Dura-Sport’s ECB Approved DSi-pro Vision cricket pitches surfaced with DSi-weave superior wilton woven cricket carpet, manufactured in a unique loam colour to replicate the visual appearance of a well prepared grass wicket.
DS Evograss natural looking synthetic grass surrounds were installed in between and alongside each pitch, including 300mm outside the cage to form a mowing margin in line with ECB Code of Practice requirements.
A heavy-duty ECB compliant cage structure featuring the upgraded DS HD knotted netting was erected.
The project was completed on time and within the client’s budget.
"A huge thank you to Dura-Sport and in particular to Tim, Michael, Stuart and James who have transformed our old single lane 'home made' net into a fantastic ECB compliant double lane net. The work was completed on time and the site left in an immaculate state. The difference that the new nets will make to the club is significant and we look forward to getting the best out of our new facility in the seasons to come. From start to finish this project ran smoothly and much of the credit for this lies with Lee and Richard and their positive approach to problem solving. As a club we cannot recommend Dura-Sport more highly and would not hesitate to contract them again in the future."
