Crowcombe Cricket Club contacted Dura-Sport to discuss refurbishment options for their existing non-turf pitch on the edge of the first team square, which had been in situ for several years.
The existing system was ripped out in its entirety and a new foundation defined and excavated to 30.00m x 2.74m. This allowed us to bring the levels of the pitch back up to flush with the existing surrounding ground. After consultation with the client, the chosen pitch system was The ECB Approved DSi-pro cricket system, surfaced using our traditional green coloured DSi-weave superior wilton woven cricket carpet, confirmed in tests in 2015 as the strongest and most durable cricket carpet available in the industry.
The surface was installed under tension and marked out as per rules of the game.
