Asfordby Hill Primary School in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire had a large expanse of grass which was muddy and dangerous, and consequently unusable for much of the year.
Dura-Sport were employed to excavate the grass area and remove the old car tyres. We fitted timber boards to the edge and lined the excavation with a geotextile membrane. Stone was then imported in to the area using the correct depth and synthetic grass surfacing
The new areas can now be used all year round without becoming muddy.
